With this latest agreement, the total number of firm-ordered F-15EX aircraft secured on behalf of the U.S. Air Force under Lots 1 through 7 has reached 120.

Finalized ahead of the September 30 close of the U.S. fiscal year, the contract was executed within the framework of existing budget allocations. The agreement brings the average unit cost per aircraft to approximately $108 million, a figure that excludes the procurement packages for engines supplied separately by General Electric.

Commenting on the acquisition, U.S. Air Force Fighter Aircraft Program Manager Brigadier General Timothy Helfrich noted that the Lot 7 contract reflects disciplined resource management that balances defense industrial realities with inflationary pressures.

Boeing, which continues production lines at its St. Louis facility, recently delivered the first aircraft under the Lot 3 contract, designated F-15EX-22. The company aims to sustain Lot 3 deliveries through the remainder of the year and ramp up its manufacturing tempo to a rate of two aircraft per month.

Developed to replace aging F-15C/D fleets, the F-15EX Eagle II features advanced avionics, an expanded payload capacity, and upgraded electronic warfare capabilities. Having introduced its first operational aircraft into service with the Oregon Air National Guard, the Air Force continues to deploy the platform to critical operational hubs, including Kadena Air Base in Japan.
