The deliveries are part of an ongoing modernization project coordinated by the Ministry of National Defense’s General Directorate of Military Factories, which aims to induct a total of 50 converted platforms into the military inventory.

The E-ZPT, developed by retrofitting the legacy M113 series armored personnel carrier, successfully completed rigorous qualification phases. According to technical specifications, the vehicle underwent 3,000 kilometers of endurance testing, comprising 1,600 km of off-road, 800 km of asphalt, and 600 km of stabilized terrain operations. The platform demonstrated operational capability on a 60% vertical slope, 30% side slope, and trench-crossing configurations. The vehicle is configured to transport a crew of seven, including a driver, commander, gunner, and four troops.

Designed by MKE engineers, the vehicle utilizes a hybrid-electric propulsion system, delivering a range of 150 kilometers on battery power alone, which extends to 650 km when supported by an integrated generator. The E-ZPT accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 8 seconds, and its high-security battery pack can be charged from 20% to 80% within 1.5 hours via fast-charging infrastructure.

With a gross vehicle weight of approximately 15 tons and a payload capacity of 2.5 tons, the fully electric drive system significantly reduces the vehicle's acoustic and thermal signatures compared to traditional diesel engines, lowering battlefield detectability. Optimized for low maintenance and operating costs, the E-ZPT features modular integration for various payloads and is currently armed with a 12.7 mm Remote Weapon Station (RWS).
