Russia’s submarine Tula accomplished overhaul

SSBN Tula had accomplished the shipyard’s sea trials on December 21 and launched the transfer to the base at the Northern Fleet, where soon will be recommissioned into the Navy.
K-114 Tula is the fourth submarine in the Project 667BDRM class was built in 1987 at Sevmash Shipyard (Severodvinsk). Since early 2015, the sub had passed overhaul at Zvezdochka shipyard, which resulted in a 3.5-year service extension period.
During a modernization refit in 2004, Tula was upgraded with the capability to carry the R-29RMU Sineva liquid-fueled submarine-launched ballistic missile.
